Three IRIS member universities have recently featured IRIS data to highlight the economic impact of their research expenditures:
- Northwestern University, in a piece titled “Northwestern research provides economic boost of nearly $800 million,” used its 2019 IRIS Vendor Report to show the university’s contribution to the overall economy.
- Boston University also used its Vendor Report to show the broad reach of its research spending in an article titled “BU Research Has Powerful Economic Impact.”
- The University of Michigan’s release titled “U-M research projects contribute $4.77 billion to state, national economies” is also based on its Vendor Report.
IRIS has begun distributing press release templates with all of its reports. Please contact Dan Meisler, IRIS Communications and Marketing Coordinator, at dmeisler@umich.edu for more information.
