IRIS is seeking a data support specialist for a full-time, 1-year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of a second year based on availability of funding. The successful candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise and experience to a fast-paced technical team.
Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to efforts to curate the annual research data release, including but not limited to: cleaning, harmonizing, and de-identifying IRIS data for researcher use; building and maintaining datasets for linkage work; developing and revising code for linkage; writing data documentation; and maintaining the IRIS research data wiki.
- Assisting in supporting data requests from researchers using IRIS data, including but not limited to: providing technical assistance to researchers working in the IRIS virtual secure data enclave; providing answers to data field and file questions; and investigating data issues addressed by researchers.
- Assisting in facilitating data discussions between IRIS Research Support and Data Production Teams toward data quality improvement, research analyses, and production of new reports using IRIS data and linkage work.
