IRIS is hiring a postdoc for the NSF-funded “Impact of Hard/Soft Skills on STEM Workforce Trajectories,” a five-year project to study the effects doctoral students’ training environment have on their development of “hard” and “soft” skills.

The focus of this post-doctoral research will be research, data analysis, drafting and publishing research articles and other scholarly outcomes that arise from a project to study the effects doctoral students’ training environments have on their development of “hard” (technical/scientific) and “soft” (interpersonal, collaborative or managerial) skills and how variations in those skills influence post-graduation career outcomes. The project is a collaborative effort with PIs and sites at the University of Michigan, Utah State University and the University of Maryland.
