Dr. Julie Lumeng, a developmental and behavioral pediatrician and Associate Vice President for Clinical and Human Subject Research at the University of Michigan has been named the university’s representative to the IRIS Board of Directors.

According to the IRIS charter, the institute’s host institution can appoint a permanent member to the board.

Luming is the Thomas P. Borders Family Research Professor of Child Behavior and Development at the University of Michigan Medical School. She serves as the Associate Dean for Clinical Research at the Medical School, the Associate Vice President for Clinical and Human Subjects Research at the university, and the Executive Director of the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research, the University of Michigan’s Clinical and Translational Science Award. She is trained as a developmental and behavioral pediatrician and her NIH-funded research examines the development of children’s eating behavior.
